Last night, over at Eric&#8217;s to watch the festivities, I learned a great many things.  Among them were the following:<\/p>\n<p>1.  Having a stroke makes you smile a lot.<\/p>\n<p>2.  Celebrities wearing black evening gowns are boring and bad.  Fashion commentators wearing smocks apparently constructed from kitchen curtains are stylish.<\/p>\n<p>3.  J. Lo is preparing for the next John Hughes 80s Prom movie.<\/p>\n<p>4.  Sometimes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randynewman.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"After 16 nominations, it's about time!\">deserving folk<\/a> do win.<\/p>\n<p>5.  <a href=\"http:\/\/abeautifulmind.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"A Beautiful Mind\">Movies<\/a> depicting Disneyfied versions of real people&#8217;s lives are the best movies.
